Meet the Team
Christina ‘Tina’ Jacobi- Founder, General Manager, Muralist
With a strong drive to ‘do it right the first time’, I bring a blended experience of professional artist and human resource administrator to the BWC team. Previously having an extensive career in healthcare that included developing complex treatment plans and emergency department RN roles, I am no stranger to high stress environments where process-oriented teamwork is vital to success.
As General Manager of BWC, I focus on the human element of our business model to apply my wide-ranging talents to the construction industry. Using experiences in patient care to better listen and understand customers needs to using skills as an artist to provide rendering and technical design drawings, BWC uses my fresh look on construction to improve on how we meet our client’s needs.
On a personal note, with my youth spent as a professional white water kayaker I am no stranger to overcoming the standard hurdles of adversity, discomfort and challenge. Don’t be mistaken by attempting to ‘judge a book by its cover’. Hard things are worth doing. Big Water Construction is the result of our family’s pursuit to live an authentic life full of adventure and one that positively impacts our community.
“Nothing itself is impossible. The word itself says ‘I’m possible’.

Rhett Jacobi- Founder, Director of Construction, Carpenter
I am a heritage builder. Deploying a set of tools developed through a variety of construction management experiences in the building industry, and coupling it with a natural ability to communicate clearly, I am able to complete construction projects with organized efficiency and an eye for quality.
This skill combined with my field experience as a general contactor and finish carpenter enables me to be an effective intermediary that can clearly define project goals and challenges for clients. That allows technical aspects of each issue to be understood by everyone, guiding each project to a successful completion.
With dual degrees in Economics and Recreation Management, I commenced professional life as a private ski instructor, while also working for my family’s destination lodge in Mexico guiding day tours and managing property maintenance. Drawing from my experience in action sports and a childhood filled with month long backcountry adventures I see the success of my building projects to be similar to the success of any good adventure: It starts with organization and a detailed plan, and then needs to be executed with focus, determination and grit.
“Productivity is never an accident. It is always the result of a commitment to excellence, intelligent planning, and focused effort.” - Paul J. Meyer

Sam Connell- Laborer/Carpenter
Born in the PNW and not afraid of a little rain, Sam brings a ‘can do’ attitude to the worksite and one heck of a work ethic. Did I mention that regardless of conditions, he has a big grin. All day. Whether it’s placing manta anchors on a 43 degree slope or erecting a steel ski jump, he is the grease man of BWC.
With prior experience in the cold oil fields of the Dakotas, building out tennis courts in the PNW, and installing commercial grade lighting he knows how to work hard, and do whatever it takes to get the job done right.
“No individual has any right to come into the world and go out of it without leaving behind him distinct and legitimate reasons for having passed through it.”
